This design is influenced by William Morris , combining the delicate dragonfly with the rosehips. Simon uses 18 carat gold on the body of the Dragonfly and the Rosehips to draw out the detail and contrast with the sterling silver. This is one of Simon's latest designs. Finished in the Summer of 2021 it has proved popular with people who like an unusual and clever design. The three ( wise? ) monkeys are having a chat on the branches. The design is cast in sterling silver and Simon careful applies a 5 micron thick layer of 18 carat yellow gold to highlight the monkeys. This creates a lovely contrast with the branches drawing the light to this striking piece of jewellery. There is a matching pair of monkey earrings to complete the set. Since this is Simon's mould the pendant can be cast in solid 9 carat and 18 carat yellow, white and rose gold , fully hallmarked in Birmingham's World famous Jewellery Quarter.
